Members

Members are the people who work in your organization. Each member takes a paid seat, once per organization however many workspaces they're in. Guests review for free; see Guests.

Where you manage people depends on how many workspaces you have:

  • One workspace: Settings, Members lists everyone in the organization. Owners and admins manage people and seats there.
  • Several workspaces: owners and admins manage everyone on the organization's Members page (in the settings block with your organization's name). Each workspace's own Members page (in the block with the workspace's name) lists its people, and its admins manage them there.

Both pages have search, a filter (All, Members, Guests, Suspended, Invited), Export CSV and Invite. People are grouped as Active, Invited, Suspended and Guests. Every action is in the menu on a person's row.

Roles

RoleWhat they can do
OwnerEverything, including ownership and deleting the organization
AdminManage people, workspaces, billing and every workspace's settings
MemberWork in the workspaces they're given: launches, media, publishing, loops, the Agent
GuestReview what's shared with them: comment, approve or request changes. Free

To change someone's role, choose Make admin, Make member or Make guest in their row menu. Making a guest a member adds a seat, and the dialog shows what it adds to your bill. Only owners change an owner.

Only organization owners and admins add paid seats. A workspace admin who isn't an owner or admin of the organization can invite guests to that workspace.

Which workspaces a member reaches

Owners and admins reach every workspace. A member reaches all of them (new ones included) or only the ones you choose. With several workspaces, choose Edit clients... (or brands, or workspaces) in their row menu on the organization's Members page, pick All clients or Selected clients, and Save access.

Invite someone

Choose Invite. In Invite people, pick Member or Guest, enter their email and, if you like, their name. For a member, choose a Role (Member or Admin) and, with several workspaces, which ones they reach. For a guest with several workspaces, choose the ones they review in. The dialog shows what a member adds to your bill, or that your plan includes it. Choose Send invitation.

Invitations expire after 7 days. To send one again, choose Resend invitation in its row menu; to cancel it, Revoke invitation.

A workspace's Members page also has Share new launches with guests. See Guests.

Suspend and reactivate

Suspend someone who shouldn't have access for now, for example during leave or an investigation. Open the menu on their row and choose Suspend member.... On the organization's page it suspends them everywhere; on a workspace's page, only in that workspace.

When you suspend someone:

  • Their access ends at once: sessions, sync and live updates stop, also on their other devices and in open tabs.
  • Their API keys, agents and connected agents are revoked.
  • Suspended from the organization, they aren't billed as a seat.
  • Their work stays, labelled with their name and (suspended).
  • Loops that run as them pause, and admins are notified so someone can take them over.

Reactivate member... gives them their access back, and they're billed as a seat again. Revoked API keys and agents don't come back; they create new ones. Paused loops stay paused until someone turns them back on.

Remove someone

Open the menu on their row and choose Remove from organization.... Removing does everything suspending does, and also ends their membership and frees their seat.

  • Choose who takes over their loops and chats: you, or another owner or admin. Their loops stay paused until the new owner reviews them and turns them back on.
  • Their API keys are revoked, not handed over: they still hold the secrets. The dialog lists what they own, so you can create replacements.
  • Their comments and activity stay, labelled with their name and (former member).

On a workspace's Members page, Remove from client... (or brand, or workspace) ends their access to that workspace only. Their loops there pause for someone to take over, and their work there stays.

Leave an organization

Owners and admins choose Leave organization... in the menu on their own row on the organization's Members page, and pick who takes over their loops and chats. The last owner can't leave: make someone else an owner first. A member who wants to leave asks an owner or admin to remove them.

Owners

An organization can have several owners. To make someone an owner, they must be an admin first. Open the menu on their row and choose Transfer ownership.... Tick Also make me an admin to step down yourself.

The last owner can't leave, be removed, be suspended or lose the owner role. Only an owner, signed in to Pluto Ads, can grant or remove ownership: no API key or agent can.

For developers

The same rules apply in the API and MCP. Requests from suspended and removed people are refused as suspended and removed.
